The Math & Music program can be used in
public and private schools or in home school
settings. While Arthur facilitates the program in
several Tulsa area schools, he can also lead
faculty in-service programs to teach staff to
implement the curriculum effectively. Besides
the Math & Music activity books, tunable tubano
drums, designed by Arthur, are available from
Remo Drums, Inc.
The curriculum uses animated characters to
illustrate the concepts related to counting,
adding, multiplying, and dividing numbers and
the relationship between numbers and musical
notes.
Children are actively engaged in an activity
which is lots fun, and which taps into the
natural kinship between their innate rhythm and
the realization that all music is based upon
counting.
